Why This Matters
Most "tool review" sites are SEO husks written by copywriters who've never shipped a product. They rank tools by whoever pays the highest commission. Features get copy-pasted from marketing pages. The result? Sellers waste time and money on garbage.
We're sellers and data people. We've run shops on Etsy, Amazon Handmade, and Shopify. We've built internal tools. We know what moves the needle and what's just expensive noise.
How Our Reviews Actually Work
📊 Hands-On Testing
Every tool gets tested in real scenarios. We connect actual shops, run keyword research, track inventory, send emails—whatever the tool claims to do. We document what works, what breaks, and what's missing.
Example: Our Marmalead review includes 45+ hours of keyword research across 3 niches, comparison of search volumes vs 2 competitors, and testing the Marma AI with 50+ queries.
⚖️ Head-to-Head Data
We compare competing tools side-by-side with the same data sets. When two SEO tools give different keyword volumes, we dig in. When one inventory system miscalculates COGS, we document it.
Example: We ran the same 100 keywords through Marmalead, eRank, EverBee, and Alura to compare accuracy and found volume discrepancies of 200-900% between tools.
No Paid Placements
Rankings aren't for sale. Period. Tools can't pay to be featured or ranked higher. We use affiliate links (disclosed on every page) but that doesn't influence our testing or recommendations. A tool that pays 30% commission but sucks still gets a bad review.
🔄 Continuous Updates
We show our work. Test scenarios, data comparisons, screenshots of failures—it's all in the reviews. If we can't test something thoroughly, we say so. If our opinion changes after extended use, we update the review with dated revision notes.
All reviews include "Last Updated" timestamps. When tools release major features or pricing changes, we re-test and update within 30 days.

- ✓Documentation of bugs, limitations, and workarounds
